Linux, automation and the infrastructure underneath

I build and run Linux systems - and automate as much of them as I reasonably can.

My journey

My friendship with Linux began in 2002 when I installed Red Hat 7 in VMware Workstation. Since then, I've been on a quest to unravel the power of the terminal, automate repetitive tasks, and build robust infrastructures.

The road there went through networking and virtualization first, which turned out to be a useful detour: it is hard to automate infrastructure you do not understand from below.

What I work with

Ansible and Terraform, containers and Kubernetes, Red Hat and SUSE, a fair amount of Azure - and a home lab where breaking things is cheap.
